Large glazed surfaces, generous storage spaces and furniture pieces designed to ensure the desired comfort, all in a compact apartment? Yes, it's possible! We want to share with you the story of an apartment in Sevilla, freshly out of the construction phase.
The furnishing of this apartment, owned by a young couple, stands out through a contemporary style with industrial influences and vegetal motifs, a leitmotif that can be found in all areas of the house without being overwhelming. Warm, light shades prevail, accentuated by natural light flooding the space through the large glazed surfaces.
We can even consider the vegetal decoration a bonus to the wide view over the entire city.
The apartment consists of a kitchen with a bar area (adjacent to the entrance), an open space living and dining room, separated from the night zone by a sliding glass door. The spaces appear more spacious due to the continuous porcelain stoneware flooring and the uniform white ceiling.
Through the finishes used and the arrangement of the furniture, the living area conveys warmth, being a welcoming space with a youthful, cheerful vibe.
We notice vegetal inspiration accents: natural plants suspended in a corner of the ceiling (near the window to benefit from as much natural light as possible); decorative cushions with vegetal prints; the painting behind the sofa, highlighted by the white exposed brick wall.
In a decor dominated by light colors, the dark gray upholstery used for the sofas harmoniously underlines the core area of the house.
An interesting detail of this living room is the absence of a television and, instead, the importance given to the fireplace (with bioethanol), which has an entire wall dedicated to it, accentuated by a light gray shade on the background, a wall that is backlit with a warm LED strip. This frame of warm light contributes to creating a pleasant atmosphere suitable for relaxation in a living room.
On the exposed brick wall in the living room slides a glass door with aluminum partitions painted black, serving to separate the day area from the night area while amplifying the spaces through visual continuity.
Given the low height of the apartment and the small width of the passageway, the sliding door has a running track only at the top, and when fully open it overlaps the exposed brick wall without occupying space.
The industrial style of the sliding door can also be observed in the lighting fixtures in the living room area, consisting of two white metal rails on which adjustable spotlights slide. These ensure uniform lighting while allowing for the creation of a large number of lighting scenographies.
The dining area continues the stylistic line of the furnishing, creating a warm atmosphere with light shades of the walls, the emphasis being placed on the Eames-style chairs upholstered in a yellow fabric. Opposite the exposed brick wall from the living room, in the dining area we find a wall veneered with beech wood, whose verticals discreetly betray a generous storage space.
