Oaks, alongside walnuts, are among the most majestic trees that grow in our country and are a real pleasure to admire whenever we come across them in the forest or in areas where we least expect them, such as fields or very marshy areas.

Planting an oak is a long process, and if you want to have such a wonderful tree in your yard, you need to make sure you have enough space, as they can reach impressive sizes.

To plant an oak, starting from the acorn stage, you need to collect as many acorns as possible and put them in an empty bag, along with several damp napkins. This empty bag must be kept in a warm place, because heat and high humidity will encourage rapid germination of the acorns.

In about 3 weeks, the acorns should germinate, but it is very important to put as many specimens as possible to germinate, because not all of them will take root.

Once they have germinated, they must be introduced at about 2-3 cm into the soil, in a pot, after which they must be watered very well, at least for the first few days. As it progresses, when the new tree emerges and the leaves become larger and larger, you need to move this oak seedling into a larger pot until it is ready to be planted directly in the ground.
