The Iris, popularly known as "stanjenel," is one of the most beautiful flowers that can thrive even in our country under optimal conditions.
Depending on the variety chosen, the iris can come in a wide range of colors; however, the most popular and commonly found variety is the purple one and its shades, which manage to transform any garden into a special space.
The Iris is an easy-to-plant flower that does not require special techniques. Thus, to plant stanjenel, you need to dig a shallow hole, about 7-10 cm deep, then take the simple bulb or the bulb with the stem (depending on what you found at specialty stores) and place it in the hole.
The inside of the hole should have a small mound of soil on which to place the bulb, so that its roots do not rot, killing the plant before it blooms.
Once placed in the hole, all you have to do is spread out its roots (if necessary) and then cover the entire hole with soil until the bulb has a layer of about 1 cm of soil covering it.
Next, water the bulb abundantly for the first few weeks after planting, and then all you have to do is wait for your work to bear the desired fruit. Happy planting!
