Since it's vacation season and we spend more time outdoors enjoying the sun, we wanted to show you today how to create a play area for children: a sandpit from a tire.

Although it may sound strange, it's an inventive idea, a DIY (do it yourself) project in which you can even involve the children, making it a fun activity at the same time.

First, you will need a large tire, preferably from a tractor. They are the most suitable because they offer a wider play area. You can find one at a tire shop, an auto repair shop, or even a car graveyard. It is important to clean the tire thoroughly of any impurities and then paint it. This is where the interactive part comes in when you can involve the little ones.

Choose a suitable color and fill the sandpit with new color. The little ones can leave their "fingerprints" on their new play source.

If it seems too narrow, you can cut a bit more from the tire. Give it an aesthetic look and then fill it with sand. To keep the sand clean, it is important to create a protection for it. This way, cats won't be tempted to mark their territory.

A simple idea that will delight both the little ones and you alike. Good luck!
