We all want a spacious and elegant bathroom. However, many of us have only small and cramped bathrooms that we don't know how to decorate. A common mistake is to furnish it in a way similar to one that offers more space, thus ruining the entire look. Here's what we could do by following a few steps:
Avoid clutter and unnecessary loading
Nothing is more frustrating than a narrow space that limits your creative ideas. Rule number 1 for decorating a small bathroom is to keep the decor as minimalist as possible. No matter how much comfort a bathtub or shower cabin or large cabinets would create, it's important not to put them all together.
There are various possibilities for arranging the space so that with few objects you can compose a beautiful look. The secret is not to overcrowd it.
Use a multifunctional cabinet
Instead of using multiple cabinets, choose to use one to store the necessary bathroom items. Shampoo, conditioner, soap or other toiletries will find their place in boxes with two or more partitions. For a bold and pleasant look, choose to paint it or give it a modern, chic shape.
Avoid contrasting walls
Another important rule is not to whitewash the walls in colors contrasting with the floor. Contrasting shades will make the bathroom appear even smaller and create a feeling of claustrophobia. For example, if the tiles are in beige tones, avoid using dark colors on the walls; you can choose neutral color options, such as peach and champagne.
Avoid large and fluffy rugs
There are many advantages to using bathroom rugs, but they take up a lot of space and make the bathroom look smaller, especially the fluffy and voluminous ones. Try to avoid massive and bulky rugs, choose them instead, the smallest and thinnest ones. Also, you can choose the matte ones, without a bold or overloaded design.
White light versus yellow light
Yellow bulbs give a depressing look to any room, and even more so if the room is small. An excellent idea would be to use a device that allows for brighter light with a wider spectrum. Remember, the brighter a room is, the more spacious it will appear.
