As simple as this bathroom design is, the project as a whole is very successful. We were drawn to the small surface area, but especially how it was redesigned and contoured after the renovation. Get inspired!
First of all, you should know that what you will see in the images is a bathroom of approximately 4 square meters. Does it sound familiar? Surely many of you have a bathroom with a similar surface area. If you are planning a refurbishment in the near future, the ideas the designer used here will be useful to you.
The pink-salmon colored tiles that existed before in the bathroom were an inappropriate choice. The space seemed suffocated and the lighting was not very helpful. Replacing the sink with a more practical model was necessary. A detail that the owners didn't quite come to terms with were the visible pipes running throughout the bathroom. The professional's intervention was a lifesaver.
The old ceramic tiles, both faience and floor tiles, were removed and replaced with modern models. For the walls, white Metro type tiles were chosen, while black and white decorative tiles were used for the floor. White is predominant, being the safe option for a small and dark bathroom like this one. In addition, the space appears brighter and airier, even though the surface area is the same.
The sink was moved to the opposite wall and received a cabinet with suspended drawers to gain more space at floor level. The cabinet with mirror and integrated lighting offers extra storage, being an optimal choice in this context.
Interesting is how the pipes belonging to the central heating system were highlighted. Although we would have expected them to be concealed, the designer chose to paint them black, transforming them into a kind of focal point of the bathroom. Against the white background, the black accents manage to catch your eye and create cohesion with the other black elements found in the bathroom decor.
We also like how the space for the washing machine was arranged: practical and efficient with shelves and a cupboard for organized storage.
