When you think about redecorating a bedroom, you think you'll change a dresser, the bed, or at most a lighting fixture.
For this bedroom, however, the change meant an almost total transformation. Old architectural features such as the wood on the ceiling and floor were removed, which also underwent a major change, and the furniture pieces were replaced.
The result is a dramatic transformation into a style that combines Scandinavian minimalist and modern influences at the same time. Straight lines, smooth surfaces, and the chosen colors all inspire a dramatic and modern atmosphere.
Interesting is the way the colors were arranged: white ceiling, gray walls, and white floor. It's a more than interesting combination that transforms the classic bedroom layout pattern. A mirror with a white frame is placed next to the window intentionally so that it reflects some of the natural light flooding the room.
The effect is remarkable; although the shade of gray closes in the room, the white ceiling and floor, as well as the light, somehow reconfigure the space, making it more spacious and visually pleasing.
Another impactful element is the black-painted door. The furniture is minimal. The old nightstands are now replaced by two gray shelves that support two white lamps. Surprisingly, the entire atmosphere of the bedroom is calming, not at all oppressive as we might initially think, seeing the gray.
