Although everyone advises us to give up carpets and adopt a more airy style, we cannot give up carpets. However, over time, carpets need small improvements to withstand wear and tear. How can we refresh them without having to replace them? Here are some tips.

We are all familiar with the dents and marks left by furniture on the carpet. There is a practical solution through which we can get rid of them. Take a few ice cubes, place them on the marks on the carpet and let them melt. Wipe away any remaining water traces and with a fork or any sharp object, pass it through the carpet to eliminate the dents.

For stains on the carpet, the most important thing is to act immediately after staining. Use a carpet cleaning product that foams and then rinse with a little water. The stain will come out much faster and won't give you a headache. For older stains, leave the product to work for a longer period, shampoo and then rinse.

It would be advisable to apply the treatment to the entire carpet to refresh the colors and give it a pleasant smell.

Baking soda works wonders throughout the house. It also works on carpets to eliminate unpleasant odors and any pet hair. Sprinkle directly from the bag and let it work for about 15 minutes or even several hours; ideally, leave it overnight for remarkable results. Then vacuum; insist if necessary.

Empty the vacuum cleaner bag afterwards.
