During a walk on Carol Boulevard in Bucharest, you will encounter a building loaded with history, boasting a magnificent facade and impressive architecture. Here you'll find Sarea in bucate, a delicatessen shop, offering spices, oils, and organic products worth exploring for both their quality and the authentic decor.

The design is by architects from Miso Architects, and the name reminds us of the fairytale by Petre Ispirescu, Sarea in bucate. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you've entered a special place with a rustic ambiance, where dozens of jars and pots with aromatic plants smile at you from the meticulously arranged shelves.

The space evokes memories of old-fashioned grocery stores. The warmth of the pine wood envelops you from the first steps. A long counter, closed with slatted doors, serves as a serving area, decorated with glass jars, an old mortar, and wooden trays for tasting.

Behind the counter is stepped furniture that allows for the display of a large number of products in various types of containers.

Although small, the space is sufficient for its intended function. Moreover, the considerable height of the room, approximately 4 meters, plays an essential role in this design. The architects opted to create an accent wall by painting it a cheerful color that contrasts pleasantly with the natural hue of the wood and the products on display.

On this same wall is the name of the store, and below it, on the radiator cover, are different types of salt.

At the opposite end, we find an assembly of wooden crates used as support for both products and a few decorations such as pots, cages, or lanterns. A ladder supported by two metal bars ensures access to the upper part of this decor. In addition, on either side of the crates, we find displayed in special shelves, pots with aromatic plants.
