The 80 square meter apartment is located on the 7th floor of a residential complex in the northern area of Bucharest, facing east.
Clients dreamed of achieving an open, bright atmosphere with bold color accents; through collaboration with the team Studio Ae, their dream became a reality, the arrangement being finalized in 2017.
The Scandinavian style was the main source of inspiration for the clients' desired design. Thus, a warm, bright atmosphere was created, with natural textures and colors. Matte white predominates as the wall finish and light wood tones of the furniture, characteristic features of Scandinavian design.
The color palette is in accordance with the chosen style; the overall brightness of the home and the minimalist atmosphere are ensured by the use of white for the wall finishes. One of the color accents can be found in the kitchen, in the niche dedicated to the dining area, where a decorative paint in an intense blue shade was applied.
Changing the color and texture elegantly marks the zoning of the spaces.
The wall in the master bedroom on which the gray textile headboard of the bed is placed was highlighted with a bold burgundy red hue. The bedroom decor is enhanced by the play of light and shadow created by the suspended lighting fixture.
The texture of white brick on the wall with the dining table in the living room accentuates the warm and bright atmosphere of the home and at the same time creates a pleasant background for the decorative pieces and wooden furniture. On the adjacent wall, the composition of suspended furniture units gives dynamism to the space.
The alternation of finishes of this modular bookcase (white painted MDF and veneer MDF) ensures the continuity of the visual language throughout the entire arrangement. The strong blue tones of the painting above the sofa and the geometric pattern of the rug harmoniously complete the living room decor.
Most of the furniture was custom-made for the most efficient use of the available space. Light gray and white shades, along with wood accents of the furniture, convey the desired atmosphere by the beneficiaries.
