The popularity gained by apartments decorated in the Scandinavian style has given rise to several easy-to-follow lines for anyone who wants to furnish their home in the spirit of Nordic design.

The secrets of success are largely characterized by simplicity, and the atmosphere of a space that seems to be outdoors is built through the abundance of immaculate white. Similarly, simplicity and functionality are the distinctive characteristics of any apartment decorated in the Scandinavian style.

The apartment we are presenting to you is located in a residential area of Gothenburg, Sweden and is an excellent example of Nordic decor integrated into a small space.

The success of this project allowed for efficient furniture planning in the apartment which does not excel in spaciousness. Thus, the living room and dining area were combined with the kitchen area, in an open space that stands out through the abundance of decorative elements placed on the walls and ceiling.

In this design, white doesn't just dress the walls, but it forms the basis for all other colors on furniture or decorative elements.

To dilute the abundance of white, the designers chose a few rustic-inspired elements such as baskets, door handles, dining chairs and the kitchen cabinet design which complement each other harmoniously.

Excessive white can create a cold atmosphere in spaces decorated in the Scandinavian style. Thus, a portion of a wall or an entire room that ensures passage can be painted in a warm color or gray to add a dose of warmth.

The kitchen wallpaper with a floral print in white and gray, the bedroom decorated in pastel shades accented with blue and gray accents, black present in the living room and white frames with images of the Atlantic, are elements of Scandinavian design that have been worked out in detail.
