The nocturnal landscape of the capital has been enriched with a new venue called Shoteria, where people looking for fun can spend quality time in a very authentic setting.

Located in the Old Town, this venue tries to reinterpret the atmosphere of a train station, a station on the route with a well-established final destination: Party. Shoteria has successfully made it onto the list of venues with an interesting design, a design that considerably influences the moments spent in that space.

Shoteria shows us that the bar industry is evolving in a good direction; it is one of those types of venues that try to introduce their customers to various original scenarios, where those who enter can spend memorable moments.

The team at Shoteria called upon the services of Alina Turdean, an interior architect and object designer. Alina previously collaborated on the design of the Bicicleta bar and has a portfolio of personal projects specializing in product design and exhibit design.

From a design point of view, Shoteria is an example of industrial romanticism sprinkled with small affective details, details that can be found in all the decorative elements introduced in the design," says Alina about the venue's design.

A blend of nostalgia for the old and imprints of previous references, a collection of friendships transposed into design objects and the right ambiance to send you on your next journey," Alina told us about the design of this venue.

Vlad Hancu, one of the bar's owners, will share some of the ideas behind the Shoteria concept:

“Shoteria, the capital's first shotbar, transforms, for three days a week, into a confidante for those who love to party in the Old Town. The design and layout of the bar are intended to host its customers in a space decorated in the style of a train station. The venue has two main areas: the first alcoholization station, followed by the rehabilitation station.

The Departure Board above the bar displays the alcoholization menu with which partygoers can start their nightlife, to arrive prepared for partying at their favorite venues in the Old Town.

At the end of the bar, the Arrivals board displays the rehabilitation menu, with refreshing drinks for all those returning from a party and wanting to regain their energy for the next day.

The design of the bar is based on the deconstruction of a train carriage and the combination of reclaimed elements specific to CFR stations with design objects built specifically for this space. The interior design also includes details with an emotional charge for each member of the team involved in the project.

The renovation work on this 58 square meter space took approximately three months, and the allocated budget is around 100,000 euros.

Most of the surface damage to the brick walls was preserved in the venue, which previously belonged to a former tailor shop. Certain areas were refurbished through decorative plaster moldings that border the top of the only existing wall, as well as the cast iron column that divides one of the long sides in two.
