Lack of space follows us day by day. We are always looking for solutions to optimize the space we have available, but sometimes we seem overwhelmed by the situation. One of the rooms where we often face a limited space is the bedroom. Here is a layout model for a small bedroom from which you can draw inspiration for your own decor.
A bed with storage space is the first option you should consider when talking about a small bedroom layout. Drawers or the under-bed box can store many of the bulky items that take up our space, such as pillows, duvets or blankets.
In modern layouts, the headboard plays an important role both aesthetically and in terms of utility. Since nightstands would occupy floor space, the ideal option is to integrate shelves into the headboard (as in the example in the photo gallery). It's practical, elegant and takes up very little space.
We know that mirrors reflect light and create a sense of spaciousness. This is definitely an effect we can use anytime when furnishing a small bedroom. There are several options to explore: if the dressing room is in the bedroom, then its doors can certainly include two large mirrors from top to bottom and you will have the impression that the bedroom is larger than it appears.
Another option is to fix it on the wall opposite the door to reflect what is beyond the bedroom; a simple trick that creates the idea of a larger opening. Opt for a horizontal mirror to illustrate this idea.
Light is important. During the day, the space in this bedroom is flooded with natural light, and in the evening, discreet lights above and below the headboard provide pleasant lighting, perfect for relaxation and reading. Curtains are thin and almost transparent, but drapes are not missing either, which ensure the necessary privacy.
Being in a similar tone to the walls, both curtains and drapes harmonize with the walls, visually expanding the space – a trick you can use in any type of small space.
The minimalist style is recommended for such layouts. As in this case, less is more. A small space needs order and as few decorative elements as possible. This does not mean that there cannot be a balance between all the elements that make up the bedroom. On the contrary, harmony can be achieved in any type of space.
