For this renovation, the owners decided to call upon a designer who would help them optimize the small space of their apartment. They had a small budget at their disposal, but it was used wisely thanks to the ideas of Annei, the designer with whom they collaborated.
The surface area of the apartment, only 34 square meters, was approached minimally, with summary pieces to ensure storage spaces and a comfortable conversation area, without visually overwhelming the room or appearing overloaded with too many cabinets.
Taking into account the limited budget, the designer chose to keep some of the existing furniture to which she added useful pieces to create the desired ambiance. She used colors, prints, and textures to sketch the personality of this small studio, and the result is one that exceeds the beneficiaries' expectations. Annei's creative ideas were well received and, as a result, put into practice.
To enhance the chosen chromatic theme, a few old books without covers were painted with blue watercolor. The same blue will be found at the level of the curtains, decorative pillows, but also in the hallway, ensuring coherence and continuity between functions. A few green accents complete this landscape inspired by the colors of nature, the sea.
The white furniture pieces balance and highlight the color accents. And the background is predominantly white, hence the effect of luminosity and amplification of space created through these chromatic combinations.
The wardrobe with mirror doors reflects light and creates the illusion of widening the space, a trick to be used in any small space. In the hallway, the door to the pantry was replaced with a porthole model, also white. The white-blue contrast evokes Mediterranean decors.
In the kitchen, too, the furniture and flooring were kept, both in good condition and easy to use. The arrangement here is simple, with a few small colorful details and a turquoise blue mosaic that recalls the theme of the rest of the house.
