For this 83 square meter apartment, a current and functional design was desired, with a few color accents. The major challenge came from the apartment's configuration, which is somewhat unusual for the classic patterns of our homes. Although this arrangement is located in Sankt Petersburg, it is worth following the images of this arrangement for an extra dose of inspiration.
One of the details that catches your attention is the color contrast developed in the living area. While cool, masculine tones predominate, the arrangement remains pleasant and not at all oppressive. The chromatic palette is balanced by a base made with white which amplifies natural light.
The wooden floor complements the decor excellently, and yellow radiates warmth, contrasting with the gray of the furniture.
The height of the rooms was considered through the integration of cornices, which remind us of the architectural details on the facade of the building. Inside, the effect obtained is a reduction in ceiling height.
The kitchen area is quite compact. Although limited, the designer highlighted the height, going with storage up to the ceiling. Thus, we have two rows of cabinets, the first level being highlighted by MDF white bodies, the rest being gray. Opting for milled handles and push systems for opening the cabinets, the space gains minimalist values, in line with the rest of the arrangement.
The dining area is highlighted by a painting and a wall painted with a lighter gray than the furniture.
The actual living area, summarily represented by a sofa, armchair, and a TV cabinet, fits into the same masculine note that we feel throughout the entire apartment. Retro-inspired furniture pieces leave the space airy, ensuring the desired comfort.
Direct access from the living room to the bedroom is made through a sliding door. Taking into account the shape of the room, the designer managed to optimize the interior to integrate a bed, storage spaces, but also a work area with a desk and a library, the latter being arranged near the window to ensure an optimal level of natural light.
