The smaller the space of a dwelling, the more difficult its arrangement becomes. The young beneficiaries of this 2-bedroom apartment realized this and turned to the services of a designer. Together they outlined a modern, functional arrangement with good spatial organization.
Opening GalleryThe 43 square meter surface was redesigned and optimized. In addition, the space needed a complete renovation, as the apartment was outdated and dilapidated. The renovation mission was complex and involved extensive modifications.
Thus, to create the impression of a larger space, some of the partition walls were removed; the old floor was replaced, the walls were painted, and both electrical and plumbing installations were changed.
The designer proposed a modern design that would ensure the necessary storage areas for a home. Thus, in the living area, a generous wardrobe was fitted into a niche with sliding doors covered with mirrors. The space amplification effect is maximized.
Then, to give fluidity to the room, tall furniture was chosen and not placed directly on the floor, which would have overloaded the space.
The entire arrangement follows a minimalist line, with an emphasis on functionality. Each piece plays a well-defined role in the decor so as not to unnecessarily clutter the room.
By opening the kitchen to the living room, a unified and airy decor was sought, with white and light gray as shades for finishes. The high table, bar type, along with the 2 stools describe a visual limit between the two functions. Black accents and the brick wall painted white, together with the wooden countertop, outline a mini-dining with style.
As a visual accent, the blue wall behind the television contrasts with the white of the furniture. Overall, the decor is harmonious and pleasant, welcoming.
The bedroom is also minimalist. In fact, the only piece is the bed arranged on a platform that offers storage spaces in the form of drawers. A former pantry is now fitted as a walk-in dressing room for clothes and more.
And for the bathroom with an area of 2.3 square meters, space optimization was attempted with cabinets under the sink and neutral, light shades inspired by nature, which, with the help of lights, visually amplify the room.
If you too have to furnish a similar space, I hope that everything you have seen in this arrangement will be helpful and you will find the inspiration you need!
