While a small apartment may not be to everyone's liking, sometimes we don't have a choice. However, there can also be a positive side to this. In a 50 square meter dwelling, both a bachelor and a family can live comfortably. The difference is made by perspective and, of course, furnishing options. Here is such an example.
Today's apartment, no more than 50 square meters in size, is home to a family of three. The lack of space is compensated for by a stylish design, celebrating a passion for art and good taste.
The main room includes the living area with a lounge and kitchen. Although located within the same perimeter, the two are visually separated by a creative divider in the form of a fine drapery mounted on the ceiling between the sofa and table. The space is not interrupted in any way, ensuring the continuity of the room. An excellent idea to put into practice in similar spaces in studios or apartments.
The accent wall in the living room, inspired by the great Dutch painter Mondrian, creates a pleasant focal point. The color palette ranges from neutral shades and white to strong red accents found in the radiator structure, dining chairs, and the balcony bookshelves used as plant stands.
The color scheme itself should not be overlooked, as it contributes a cheerful vibrancy to the home's aesthetic.
In the small bedroom, we'll find both the parents' bed and the baby's crib, along with a tiny desk tucked against the wardrobe. The layout is slightly cramped due to limited space, with the bed taking up a large portion of the width. However, neutral tones keep the decor feeling airy.
To easily expand the apartment's perimeter, the balcony was incorporated into the living space, with a few open shelves being arranged with decorations and books. The bathroom also maintains simple lines, with the added wooden beams in the ceiling being an interesting feature.
The designer's choice of adding texture to the decor is also pleasing: in the balcony area, the walls have a white-painted brick structure which we will also encounter in the entrance hall, as well as the material that forms the partition between the living room and kitchen.
Decorative details also dress the space: the large black clock on the wall and the kitchen lighting fixture are just a few accents that add charm to the overall design.
