This 68 square meter apartment is the dream home of a newly married couple. They love to travel and search for souvenirs in antique markets they find on vacation. They enjoy decorations and refurbishing old furniture pieces. With such passions, their apartment's design couldn't be ordinary.

Open Gallery Understanding this, the designers at Shoko Design came up with proposals that went straight to the couple's hearts. Starting from a Scandinavian style with rustic touches, down to each decorative accessory that personalizes the space, this design meets the beneficiaries' desires.

The apartment's two-room space is divided into a living area with a living room, dining room, kitchen and then a bedroom with a bathroom. The living room is the main area of this home due to its three functions. Each function is furnished with minimal furniture, leaving the space airy and bright overall. Decorations and finishes personalize each area individually.

Brick cladding to create an accent wall, a coffee table made from a pallet and painted afterwards, yellow accents on a predominantly neutral background - these are just a few elements that describe a stylish design.

The kitchen is typically Scandinavian, with gray fronts and black accents. The compact, linear layout is suitable for an open-plan design. Built-in appliances create a neat, unified look. Both in the kitchen and throughout the hallway, the flooring is a classic checkerboard pattern.

For the central area of the room related to the dining and living areas, parquet was chosen. This creates a discreet delimitation between functions.

Artificial lighting plays an important role in this design. From general lighting to ambient or direct lighting, everything blends together so that each sector of the home has the right light. Pendant lights, LED spotlights recessed into the ceiling or lamps used to highlight paintings and the blackboard-style black painted wall are well chosen.
