We set out today to surprise you with a super creative makeover. The apartment underwent more than necessary renovation, and the result is as surprising as possible. We loved the ideas used in this arrangement and hope they will inspire you too.
The redecoration involved painting the walls, replacing furniture pieces and/or adding new ones to bring a touch of freshness to the apartment.
The approach followed a minimalist line, which aimed to create coherent, brighter spaces, outlining a modern apartment. The changes are noticeable both in the kitchen and in the main room, now divided into 2 different functions: living room and bedroom.
The green wall, as well as the brown one, disappeared to make way for a completely white background. To balance and contrast the white decor at the same time, the original floor went through a process of lacquering with colored varnish, changing the natural color of the wood.
Surprisingly, some of the furniture is made from pallet pieces. And we say surprisingly because we wouldn't have expected them to look so good as a whole. The sofa, the console under the TV, as well as a decorative panel separating the two main areas of the room are made of white-painted pallets.
For added intimacy, a white curtain was also added across the entire width of the room. The effect is wow! The rest of the furniture consists only of 2 open units used as a bookcase and long shelves used as support for decorations. The black and white contrast gives a modern feel.
For the bedroom area, the bed, dresser and wardrobes were kept. The new decorations, including the painting, the lighting fixture and the drapery, create a pleasant feeling of comfort and relaxation.
In the kitchen area, the cabinet fronts were changed and the handles replaced, as well as the worktop. The differences between the current kitchen and the previous one are not great, but if we look at the whole picture, the decor seems more coherent and brighter.
The white of the cabinets, the new curtains, the wallpapered wall or the new lighting fixture manage to completely change the decor that reminds us of Scandinavian interiors.
Even the bathroom underwent a welcome renovation. The tiles were replaced with new ones in a matte beige that completely transforms the bathroom, making it much brighter.
Note! If you have to furnish a small and narrow bathroom like the one in this apartment, avoid using such dark ceramic tiles or, if you still want to integrate darker shades, choose to do so only on a reduced portion and not on all the walls as in this case!
