Until 2011, the site where The Pocket House now stands was occupied by a garage. After demolishing the old structure, the owners enlisted the help of architects to design a new dwelling where they could accommodate guests.
The result is this charming 40 square meter eco-friendly house, which includes a separate bedroom, a bathroom, a combined kitchen and living room with a positioned somewhere very close to the ceiling, above a room that has been fitted out as a small bathroom.
The idea of a bed built above the bathroom is ingenious and helps maximize space indoors.
The kitchen is as functional as possible, and the entire design is a discreet blend of modern and Scandinavian styles, with some rustic accents. It is a comfortable space with a modern and clean look.
The sofa in the main room can easily be transformed into a bed, and its color adds a chromatic touch to the decor, which uses a neutral color palette.

The separate bedroom is furnished with a large bed, the walls are decorated with pleasant-toned ecological paint, and the curtains give the room a very intimate feel. Double doors lead to an interior courtyard where guests or owners can spend warm summer days.
Although very small, the bathroom is equipped with everything a normal bathroom needs and aesthetically offers some bold color combinations.
The large windows allow plenty of natural light to enter the dwelling, and their size creates the feeling that the room is much larger.
The living room bed, positioned very close to the ceiling, is an ingenious solution for organizing the available space. In addition to a better arrangement of decorative elements, the room has a nonconformist vibe. Unconventional solutions are starting to take root more and more in the field of interior design.
