Manta Resort is an exclusive resort located on Pemba Island, in the Zanzibar archipelago, Tanzania. The resort is known for its two floating villas, which offer stunning views of the Indian Ocean.

Photo source: www.lifeandtravel.ro/ The idea to create a floating resort came from the resort owners, a German couple named Claudia and Jürgen Hermann. Claudia was passionate about diving and snorkeling, while Jürgen was an engineer. The two wanted to create a place that would offer guests a unique experience of being connected with nature.

The construction of the villas took four years and was a technical challenge. The villas are built from steel and glass and have a surface area of 120 square meters each. Each villa has a pool, a Jacuzzi bathtub, and a terrace overlooking the ocean.

The architecture of the villas was designed to blend into the landscape. The villas are built in a traditional African style, with thatched roofs. The windows and doors are large, allowing guests to enjoy the ocean view.

Manta Resort opened in 2013 and quickly became one of the most popular resorts in Zanzibar. The resort has won numerous international awards, including the award for best luxury resort in Africa.
