I still remember the moment I moved into my current studio apartment. I finally had my own place, a 45 square meter studio apartment, and I had finished buying and arranging the furniture for the living room and bedroom.
I decided to go with a combination of white and royal red for the furniture, accented with very few black elements. A minimalist desk is barely noticeable in one corner and a small open cupboard serves as storage to balance the room.
My greatest joy when I bought this apartment was the fact that it had gigantic windows. Beyond the bedroom window, which takes up almost 50% of the wall, in the living room, an entire wall is actually a window and opens onto a small, charming terrace.
Although I would have liked to leave the windows uncovered to enjoy as much light as possible, the room without curtains, blinds, or drapes seemed unfinished and unkempt. Moreover, with the apartment being located on the first floor, it was very easily accessible to anyone's gaze.
Finding the perfect shade to bridge the gap between large, intensely colored furniture and the immaculate white of the wall in a red-white-and-black scheme is challenging. It's crucial to avoid overwhelming the space or making the curtains appear invisible, risking the need for transparent drapes.
After a series of unsuccessful attempts on my own, I decided to give up and do what I should have done from the beginning: call in a specialist. What I learned is that when choosing curtains with a designer you need to consider colors, texture, patterns, complementarity, length, and many other factors I would never have thought of. Now, my house is complete.
With cherry-red drapes and almost imperceptible pale rose-colored sheer curtains.
I highly recommend choosing to work with a specialist and not neglecting the importance of the details in your home, as they truly make a difference and can elevate any interior design. Furthermore, the installation process is not something that can be easily done by anyone in the family and can be costly if you don't choose the right company.
There are many skilled consulting firms on the market, however we recommend Sabra Curtains Our specialists offer free consultation and installation for your home, apartment, or other spaces, and will be with you until you achieve the desired results.
