When it comes to finding a home in the city, Londoners are experts at organizing and maximizing small spaces, but architect Laura Clark took the idea of renovation to a whole new level, transforming an abandoned public toilet into a luxurious private home.

The public toilet located under Crystal Palace Parade is only 55.7 square meters, but after the renovation work, this space was transformed into an amazing house.

Laura Clark first discovered this abandoned toilet in 2005 and from then on realized that this space had enormous potential. It wasn't long before she started renovations with the savings she had available.

The architect struggled quite a bit to obtain the property rights for this public toilet, which was built in 1929 and decommissioned in the '80s.

The entire renovation of the abandoned and unsanitary space cost £65,000, but the results achieved are enviable, with Clark being hailed by her colleagues as a genius with an amazing eye for detail.
