The installation of a heating system brings with it a series of major advantages, such as the comfort and freedom to adapt the temperature to your own needs, but above all a significant reduction in costs compared to the centralized heating system, which can reach, depending on the city, up to approximately 2,000 lei annually.
“Beyond comfort and the desire to have independence, most Romanians who opted for the installation of their own heating system took this step because they wanted to reduce expenses for heating and hot water production,” said Catalin Draguleanu, Country Manager Ariston Thermo Romania.
He also emphasized that Romanians are increasingly understanding the advantages of a boiler in situations where they are connected to an inefficient centralized heating system, which may stop supplying heat and hot water for various reasons such as malfunctions or payment arrears.
Regarding costs, Catalin Draguleanu further stated that, depending on the city, Romanians who choose to install a gas-fired boiler can make significant savings. Thus, with a condensing boiler, in Constanta, for example, annual bills for hot water and heating for a two-room apartment amount to approximately 1,640 lei.
In Iasi, the difference between the costs generated by the centralized heating system and a boiler is approximately 1,200 lei annually, while in Timisoara it is approximately 1,000 lei.
“In the case of Bucharest, where until now the Municipality has subsidized, from its own funds, the billing cost of gigacalories to the population, the difference between the price paid at RADET and the cost generated by a condensing boiler is not very large, approximately 200 lei.
However, we have observed that many Bucharest residents are considering installing a boiler to benefit from comfort,” Draguleanu added.
How to reduce heating costs with a boiler
Beyond the advantage of being economical and providing high comfort, proper operation of the boiler during the winter months, along with revision operations and periodic technical checks, significantly contributes to reducing monthly costs for home heating.
