When you have a space of 65 square meters, but it is too fragmented, then you can't really enjoy the benefits of these dimensions. This is also the situation in which the owner of the apartment we chose to talk about today found herself. Wanting a complete renovation and a modern and functional transformation, she thus appealed to a designer who understood very well this need for change.
The result is one to match. Spacious, bright spaces, focused on natural circulation between functions, that's what Eva, the specialist who took care of this interior design, managed to achieve.
For the living area, a unitary space was obtained, in which the living room communicates directly with the kitchen, but separated visually to highlight them. The minimalist decor makes the entire arrangement seem airy. The 2 stairs leading to the terrace help with a somewhat intuitive division of the living room into several sub-functions.
Thus, we have a conversation area with a sofa and television, so that at the other end we can go towards a library with a reading corner and a desk.
The chosen furniture is white, with a glossy front to reflect light and create a sense of spaciousness. It is noteworthy that no bulky pieces were opted for, but rather those of reduced dimensions, such as bookcases, dressers or a medium-height bookcase. The interesting choice for the color of the parquet, a darker shade to contrast with the white.
The same type of parquet was used throughout the apartment, thus obtaining a unitary and coherent character, in this desire to connect the functions with each other.
Chromatic unity is maintained in the kitchen area as well, the furniture having similar colors to those of the flooring. Here too, the bodies are not very large, but they maintain the proportions of the room. Built-in appliances, a white glossy countertop are the pieces that make up this arrangement. The window in front of which the sink was installed illuminates this area naturally.
The dining area also benefits from natural light, and the lighting fixture above the table highlights this sector of the room.
