The transition from black gold to green energy is happening rapidly. Energy Forum, an event organized by Freedom House România, will discuss the implications of the European Union's green objectives on March 14th in Bucharest.
Experts from abroad and Romania, representatives of authorities in the field and private companies, as well as journalists, will participate in the Energy Forum.

The transition from black gold to green energy In 2021, there were 13,600 prosumers registered. In just two years, the number has grown exponentially. Currently, over 120,000 Romanians have installed photovoltaic panels and produce clean energy, which they feed into the grid.
Although the changes are rapid, the development in the field of green energy is still in its early stages in Romania. There is more and more talk about energy cooperatives, through which citizens share the renewable energy they produce.
Large investors are developing photovoltaic panel farms and wind farms with increasing power. Offshore wind activity in the Black Sea will soon be legislated. However, the transition to green energy is not an easy step and cannot be achieved without classic sources.
Gas and oil continue to remain important resources to ensure Romania's energy stability. But the transport infrastructure is not yet sufficiently developed, and investments, extremely expensive, are threatened by the usage limitations imposed by the European Commission.
All these topics will be discussed at the Energy Forum, organized by Freedom House România.
The event will bring together all stakeholders to create an easy platform for sharing experience and knowledge between Romania and Norway, forming long-term partnerships and exploring collaborations.
A delegate from the Norwegian company Norsk Energi, with 30 years of expertise in all types of energy, will also be present at the event.
The Energy Forum will take place in physical format and will be broadcast online on presshub.ro and 40 Facebook pages. More details here: https://www.presshub.ro/energy-forum/
