Kaki fruit, also known as "persimmons," is very popular in Europe and the United States, but it hasn't yet made a significant appearance in Romania. With a combined appearance resembling a red peach and a slightly apple-shaped form, this "little mirage" is considered an exotic fruit that can grow under optimal conditions in Romania.
Kaki is an extremely delicious and easy-to-eat fruit with only one central seed, similar to a plum.
First, we will explain how to plant a kaki tree from the seed stage, after which you will be able to watch a video on what to do when planting a young tree.
After buying a kaki fruit from most hypermarkets in Romania, remove the seed from inside. This seed should be placed in a well-soaked paper towel, then, along with the wet paper, the seed must be placed in an empty bag to create a greenhouse effect.
In about two weeks, if you have kept the bag well moistened and in a warm area of your house, you will already see the first signs of germination of the kaki seed.
From here, all you have to do is plant the germinated seed in a pot that is quite large because it develops long roots in a very short time. Don't be alarmed if the seed appears on the surface, as this is how this tree grows.
All you have to do is wait and water the soil where you planted the kaki tree well, and the fruits you will enjoy will be extremely delicious and will be savored by you and your whole family!
