Mushrooms are a very easy food to grow, and since they belong to the fungi kingdom, neither the plant nor the animal kingdom, they grow based on spores, not seeds. To start a small mushroom plantation, you will therefore need to buy some spores, not seeds, depending on the type of mushroom you prefer.

For starters, we recommend choosing a simpler type of mushroom to grow, one that doesn't require as much care and very sophisticated conditions.

The first step is to put a generous amount of well-fertilized black soil, preferably with natural fertilizer, into a fairly large container.

Once you have chosen the container or receptacle in which to plant the mushroom spores, try to choose the darkest, coolest and most humid environment you have in your household. The ideal environment for growing mushrooms is dark cellars, but you will need to make sure there are no parasites or other insects that could destroy your crops.
