Oregano is a Mediterranean condiment, specific to the entire basin of this sea and extremely popular worldwide. It is used in pizza, sauces, pasta, roasts, salads, and a multitude of other cold or cooked dishes.

The ancient Greeks believed that if you rubbed oregano all over your body on a particular night, you would dream of your future spouse. We can't say this is true, but it's a beautiful legend worth passing on.

Oregano is so widely used in everyday meals precisely because it has a unique taste that highlights the flavor of the other ingredients present in the same dish.

Growing this plant is not a difficult process, and that is exactly why, if you like oregano as much as we do, you should try growing it at home. Space is not an issue; it can be grown both indoors and outdoors, whether you live in an apartment or a house with a yard.

You will need a wide, fairly large tray that you must cover with well-fertilized soil to ensure that the oregano grows under optimal conditions. Once you have the soil in the tray, you need to place the seeds lengthwise and widthwise, more or less densely depending on the yield you want.
