Carnations are among the most popular and affordable flowers on the market and can be found in any flower shop and specialty stores. Although they are inexpensive flowers, carnations are not devoid of beauty, having a unique charm and much longer durability compared to other more expensive flowers.

A carnation does not need special conditions to grow, needing only water and potting soil which you probably already have, and if not, you can easily find it in stores that sell gardening products and tools.

Planting carnations from the seed stage is the easiest way to grow these flowers, and when they start to bloom, they will leave behind seeds that you can collect. These seeds must be dried and can be planted directly around the mother plant or in small pots, after which they can be moved to the garden or yard.

The seeds should be introduced at approximately one centimeter into the soil and should be watered with small amounts of water so that otherwise, the seeds will come to the surface and will have to be reburied. Carnations have a fairly fast growth rate and can reach heights of over half a meter.
