Raspberry is one of the most beloved fruits. Just at the sound of the word raspberry, we seem to start feeling the unmistakable aroma of this wonderful fruit. Considering its delicious taste, it's not hard to understand why it is such a popular choice for most people.

Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) belongs to the Rosaceae family; it is a perennial shrub with thorny stems and upright canes that arch towards the top. The fruit, called raspberry, is red, has a very pleasant smell, and a tart-aromatic taste.

If you have purchased raspberry bushes, here are the steps you need to take to plant them:

Dig trenches about 30 centimeters deep. The length of these trenches depends on the number of bushes you want to plant.

Raspberry bushes should be shortened before planting. The stem should be about 20 centimeters long, so cut off any excess and leave only the necessary 20 centimeters. Also, remove any broken, diseased, or dry roots at this time.

Next, it is recommended to hydrate or mud the raspberry roots. Mudding is an operation in which the root of the seedlings is wrapped in a mixture of nutrients for the plant: water, yellow earth, and manure. This process is done for one hour before planting the bushes.

The planting material is then placed in the previously dug holes. The plant is carefully placed in the hole, soil is added, it is gently tamped down, after which the amount of soil is supplemented and a mound about ten centimeters high is formed.

Finally, thorough watering of the plants is recommended.
