Twitter is a well-known website used by millions of people worldwide and is the preferred writing platform for most American and international celebrities.
To ensure that this site functions optimally, Twitter's central office managers in San Francisco decided to create an ideal work environment for their employees where they could feel at home.
Twitter found a 19th-century cabin listed for sale on Craigslist, a US classified ads website, after it had been abandoned for over 50 years.
Upon reading the listing, Twitter immediately decided to purchase this historic wooden house and, with the help of Olle Lundberg Design, successfully integrated it into their San Francisco office, preserving all the wood.
The house was completely disassembled piece by piece and then redesigned inside the San Francisco office, adapting well to the rest of the office space. The wood from this house was fully reconditioned as it showed many signs of degradation, and now it has secured a "new life" within one of the world's largest companies.
