Continuing the series of articles (see here the previous article) in which we invited architect Maria Romanescu to advise us on various useful topics related to decorating our homes. Today she talks to us about a current topic: how we can decorate the bathroom, daring to see more than its utility, transforming it into a true sanctuary of pleasure and relaxation.
In the context of bathroom renovation, I set out to bring you inspiration for a successful look:
1. Walls without tiles
Most often, the first thought when decorating a bathroom is excessive tiling of the walls. Unfortunately, the result is often overwhelming, especially when using mixtures of different colors and integrated ornaments between tiles.
There are already a variety of finishes for walls so that they can withstand spaces with high humidity. Excluding ceramic tiles, we are talking about everything from simple washable paint to wallpaper, wood or exposed concrete.
If you still want to go for the classic option, I recommend using smaller sized tiles, which will give the room a successful proportion. Also, choose neutral shades, plain patterns that you can bring to life with accessories. With white you won't go wrong, and the bathroom will gain impressive dimensions.

2. Unconventional floors
The discussion here is similar to the one regarding the walls. Dare to go for a wooden floor or opt for a small-sized tile with a retro feel.
Another successful solution is for the floor finish to match the wall finish.

3. The bathtub as the center of attention
Too often we encounter bathtubs built into the wall, possibly hidden behind a door. If you enjoy a long bath in the tub, I invite you to create an atmosphere accordingly. Opt for a bathtub with legs, and if space allows you to give it a generous area, all the better. You can relax just by looking at the following examples.
