Small bedrooms are always a difficult subject due to the limited space and storage issues. Currently, we will encounter relatively restricted rooms where we need imagination for efficient layout optimization. Bedrooms are now more part of our lives than ever before.

Let's see how we can manage such an area without feeling overwhelmed and helpless.

A good organization requires pre-planning. We need to know from the beginning what kind of bedroom we want and, above all, how much and how we will store things here. Let's not forget that the bedroom is a space for relaxation and rest, not a pantry for storing clothes and other accessories where we can sneak in and sleep.

Therefore, if you have to deal with a not very generous bedroom, it is good to prioritize things and needs.

Multifunctional furniture is the key to solving problems. Start with the bed. Choose a model with spacious drawers that allow you to place bulky items such as pillows or cushions, or at least free space underneath to insert boxes with stored items in them or large baskets made of rattan or wicker.

They can be covered with a longer bed linen to mask the unsightly appearance.

Of course, we must not omit wardrobes for clothes. They can be dressing type with sliding doors and mounted on a wall or the classic version of a wardrobe with two doors. Depending on the perimeter we have, if the bedroom is too small, we can install the dressing room in the hallway and keep the room more airy.

For those who live for rent and the bedroom furniture does not include wardrobes, there are more bohemian solutions to arrange clothes on hangers suspended from bars.

Then, think about how you can save space from the floor surface. Give up the idea of a classic dresser. Choose hanging variants, possibly integrated into the headboard. In the same context, you can also opt for shelves or hanging shelves. Not too many, so as not to unnecessarily overload the walls. These can be placed above the bed or on a side wall.
