Today's story is about a 3-bedroom, 88 square meter apartment located in a new residential complex in Bucharest.
The finishing works were completed in 2020. At the beginning of the collaboration, Andreea found the space with the finishes already installed; the biggest intervention was at the level of the bathrooms, to meet the beneficiaries' wishes.
The layout of the apartment was kept, it being "beautifully divided" according to the designer's evaluations. The space consists of a generous kitchen, two bathrooms, multiple storage areas and two bedrooms.
Designer: Andreea Stefan opted for a modern style, with a few accents and retro details, personalizing each area of the house.
The kitchen, with milled MDF white doors, stands out through its bold colors, ceramic tiles with pleasant shades of blue and a red refrigerator. The bench with storage space underneath and the two rope chairs add extra texture to the space, while the metal console outlines the much-desired coffee spot.
The bathrooms were equipped with new sanitary ware and finishes but did not meet the beneficiaries' requirements so they were modified to fit the overall style adopted in the new arrangement.
The simple white faience was kept and enhanced by installing accent ceramic tiles (SSAB) on the floor. The fixed shower panel, made of metal, adds a discreet black accent to the bathroom. The wooden shelves, fixed with rope, bring an extra texture to the space and warm it up visually.
In the second bathroom, from the bedroom, they changed the initial tiles for gray and white ones. The sanitary ware and lighting fixtures were replaced. Here, the star is the freestanding bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a long day.
The L-shaped hallway narrows towards the bedrooms. It is sparsely furnished with two narrow white shoe cabinets and a generous mirror that amplifies the space.
“And in the living room we made an accent wall, visible from the entrance. The radiator is covered by a white mask with shelves, which represents the background for the woven rocking chair.”
