Since we are still in the midst of winter, and the green of spring is still far away, all that remains for us is to enjoy the plants that either bloom in winter or whose white flowers reflect the snowy landscape outside. We can thus enjoy white-flowering plants in our homes.

Delicate azaleas and rich hydrangeas, all with white flowers are a true inspiration for this time of year. In flower shops and specialty stores you will find even in winter, pots full of flowers that you can enjoy indoors or on the balcony or veranda, if it benefits from enough heat and light so that the plants do not freeze.

Cyclamen is another plant with beautiful white flowers that can decorate our home during the winter and beyond.

Succulents are widely used to decorate a terrarium and are part of many arrangements in planters or pots. Sedum spathulifolium or the stonecrop with spoon-shaped leaves is very low maintenance, resistant and of course decorative. The slightly frosted look of the variety called Cape Blanco makes them perfect for a winter decor.

For an extra effect, use white pots, preferably made of white clay.

Dusty Miller or Silver Dust are two types of gray-silver plants that are resistant and highlight the beauty of winter. They withstand frost, so you can plant them in the garden and enjoy them together with firs or pines that you can plant nearby.

In summer, they will be a real splash of color among the green of other plants, beautifying the garden with multicolored flowers. In cream or ivory pots, they will be even more pleasing for windowsills or staircase decor.

Don't ignore the power of plants in decor and use their magical powers to create unique arrangements!
