Zema FOODThe first fast-meal restaurants in Romania, Zema FOOD, reported a 32% increase in turnover in 2024, reaching 4.6 million lei. The first location opened by Romanian entrepreneur Valentin Gurău was Zema FOOD Popești Leordeni in 2022, and the second was inaugurated at the end of last year on Bulevardul Carol in Bucharest.
I opened my first restaurant in Popești Leordeni in 2022. It was influenced by the pandemic period, when customers no longer frequented restaurants, were always in a hurry to get home and preferred to order or pick up their food themselves.
Driven by people's needs, we created a new "fast meal" restaurant concept that not only provides customers with quick food but also ensures it is healthy and of high quality, stated Valentin Gurău, owner of Zema FOOD restaurants.
Driven by customer understanding and their needs, Valentin Gurău has completed the investment in a second location on Bulevarul Carol in Bucharest.
We have come to understand the market and people's desire for healthy, delicious food at a fair price. Those who visited us in Popești also requested that we move closer, to Bucharest. This was a driving force. Therefore, we began construction in September 2024 and served our first order in the new location on Carol Boulevard in December.
We have invested over €450,000, stated Valentin Gurău.
