I have always associated the color violet or purple with royalty, with a distinguished air, and with unique elements because it is a color that we rarely find in nature. It is an intense yet cool color, but not as distant as blue or ochre, for example. In our opinion, purple is not a color that suits very large surfaces.
While beautiful on the wall or ceiling, as you can also see in the images in the gallery above, this color further closes small spaces. If you have rooms with high ceilings and loft-type spaces, then purple can be an option. Otherwise, use it for accents and to highlight certain pieces of furniture.
Two of the spaces where it is most difficult to use the color purple are the kitchen and the bathroom. On the other hand, in many modern bathrooms I have found spectacular color combinations that I wouldn't have thought could do justice to a space which, usually, is limited and should be very bright.
If you want to use the color purple to achieve a modern bathroom, I recommend some combinations so you don't go wrong in your design. Combine purple with white because they stand out beautifully against each other and you will get a regal, distinguished, and elegant effect. Combine purple with silver and you have a glamorous bathroom, slightly classic with a touch of contemporary.
If you prefer something warmer, then go for purple with gold. Use gold for faucets, handles, or accessories.
I do not recommend painting your entire bathroom purple. No matter how spacious it is, a dark bathroom becomes oppressive. Go for games between purple and white on the wall or paint only one wall. Use color to paint bathroom cabinets or paint a pattern on the white tiles. If you are designing a modern bathroom for your child, you can also opt for a combination of purple and yellow.
