You can enjoy the time spent on your balcony regardless of the season, depending on the approach you choose. An open balcony will offer you many beautiful moments of relaxation during the warm season, while an arrangement where the balcony has been enclosed and possibly equipped with a heating system can ensure comfort even when the days are colder but sunny.

That's why we set out to offer you two such balcony arrangements today for inspiration.

Open the GalleryThe first model is ideal for enjoying a sunny spring and a hot summer in a small space, but approached with taste. The young people who live in this apartment wanted very much to have an outdoor relaxation space, an oasis of greenery to enjoy long weekend mornings or evenings spent by candlelight.

That's why they chose not to enclose their balcony and furnished it with a lot of white, and on the floor they placed a green rug that would make you think of the idea of grass.

In one corner of the balcony they placed plants with wicker supports and ceramic pots, lanterns and candles of different sizes. A table with chairs, all white and foldable, provides seating. At the opposite end, a hanging plant decorates the completely white wall. A few solar lamps placed in different places on the balcony ensure diffused light in the evening.

To ensure extra privacy, but also to recreate the theme of nature, the two chose wicker panels that they could unfold on the balustrade (you could also use simple paper mats for a similar effect). The two white curtains provide protection when the sunlight becomes stronger.

The second balcony we propose as inspiration is an enclosed one and furnished as an extension of the living room with some plants on one side and a mini-library on the opposite side.

The beneficiaries wanted to be able to use the space on the balcony all year round, so when they started the renovation of the entire apartment, they provided for a floor heating system, the same as inside the house. The walls and ceiling were insulated, and for the windows they used a 3-chamber profile to ensure optimal thermal and acoustic insulation.
