In the warm season, you begin to truly appreciate the importance of the garden: this space serves not only as a refuge from the scorching concrete of the city, but also as a temporary center of activity and relaxation for your household.

Now, you start to envision some improvements to better utilize every moment spent in your yard. And if you don't know exactly where to begin, consider the following tips.

Define green spaces

Pay close attention to flower beds; if you haven't planted anything during the spring months, you can look for drought-resistant bulbs of flowers such as gladioli, Asiatic lilies, pansies, or daisies.

Finally, consider a small network of paths to aesthetically delimit all green areas. You can choose paving stones in straight geometric shapes, but also irregular shaped slabs, to give the garden a natural, organic look.

Set up an outdoor kitchen

While many garden kitchens feature picnic tables (which have two long benches incorporated), a better idea would be to choose a large enough garden table and separate, comfortable chairs. This way, you won't use the table only for lunch and dinner, but also for socializing or board games.

If you don't want to make too many trips to bring lots of cutlery and dishes from the house, you can keep them nearby in a few cabinets. However, the centerpiece, indispensable in any summer kitchen, remains the garden grill.

Build a gazebo

You can choose from numerous models, such as a pagoda, pavilion, or rotunda, provided that it doesn't contrast too much with the exterior design of your house. Depending on the surface area you want to allocate to this structure, you can build a pergola under which an outdoor living room (with armchairs, sofa, and a coffee table) can be set up.

Establish a place for splashing around

However, there will never be a greater urge for splashing than during the day, when plants can be endangered if watered. Thus, the best solution for bathing remains an inflatable pool, which will surely become the center of entertainment throughout the summer.

Install decorative lights

To maintain a pleasant ambiance during warm summer nights, colored bulbs hanging from posts and beams, umbrella poles, or even trees are ideal. The effect is magical and has the role of transforming your garden into a fairytale place.
