The 3-room, 76 square meter apartment located in the Aviatiei area was completely renovated and furnished in 2017. The entire endeavor was driven by the desire to have a bright, airy, and practical home at the same time, which emanates romance.
The clients, a young couple who love to travel, have a demanding work schedule, so they want to be able to return home to a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
Based on a well-elaborated concept carefully implemented by interior designer Natalia Beleva, a welcoming, harmonious, and extremely functional space was obtained, taking advantage of every available centimeter. Initially, the clients wanted to redecorate their home themselves but quickly faced organizational problems and difficult technical and aesthetic decisions.
The work began with an extensive renovation; walls and floors were stripped, joinery and doors were replaced. According to the installation project, the electrical and plumbing installations were completely redone, adapted to the new wishes and needs of the beneficiaries.
The color palette used takes into account natural light and the positioning of the rooms in relation to the cardinal points. The neutral, open colors that we find on the walls, floors, and curtains predominate and constitute the background for the vibrant color accents and textures of the furniture.
The modern stylistic line with classical influences is unitary, with subtle transitions from one room to another. The frames used on the walls contribute, together with the profiled skirting board and the cornice from the ceiling, to recreating a classic, romantic atmosphere; at the same time, they highlight the paintings with vintage gold frames.
The stylized and brightly colored chest of drawers in the entrance hall and the romantic painting depicting a Parisian street, centered on the width of the chest of drawers, constitute an introduction to the general atmosphere of the house. Due to the lack of natural light in the hallway, abundant artificial lighting was used. Cladding the wardrobe doors with mirrors visually enlarges the space.
The sofa in the living room is very comfortable with easy-to-maintain gray upholstery. The color tone used gives a masculine accent to the room dominated by warm, pastel colors. Due to the reduced size of the kitchen, the living room also contains the dining area harmoniously integrated into the overall decor.
The round, extendable table and the four chairs with upholstery in different pastel colors, together with the dresser painted in a pleasant shade of warm gray with gold accents and the mirror with a classic frame successfully manage to convey the romantic atmosphere proposed by the designers.
Placing mirrors framed by classical profiles on either side of the bed serves to visually enlarge the space while adding elegance and symmetry to the composition. The bedroom is furnished in the same style with classical influences and a romantic atmosphere. Neutral colors, soft, warm materials, and floral motifs contribute to creating a sense of harmony.
