I was telling you in a previous article about an apartment arrangement with an area of 37 square meters (see here the arrangement). Although we all desire larger and more generous spaces for our homes, we don't always succeed in fulfilling this dream. And that's when we step in, offering you ideas and suggestions for inspiration.

The 2-room apartment I want to talk to you about today is inhabited by a family with a young child. Because they weren't sure how they would approach the arrangement, the owners turned to interior designer Maria Mahmudov. They wanted the space to be comfortable, cheerful, bright, functional, in other words, a welcoming home.

Functionality, the key to a small space

Living Area

The kitchen is simple and part of the same room. With an L-shaped configuration, the cooking space catches the eye through that play of geometric shapes applied on the ceramic tiles. The coordination with part of the decorations is even visually pleasing.

It's worth noting the simplicity of the elements and the harmony that Maria managed to outline by taking into account the small space she had available. The geometric pattern can be discreetly found in every area – on the sofa in the form of decorative pillows, on the chest, the upholstery of the office chair and the ceramic tiles in the kitchen.

All are meant to create areas of interest and reflect a certain coherence of the space, under the predominance of white.

Bedroom and Bathroom

In the bathroom, Maria went for a playful and vintage style at the same time. The mirror frame, the liquid soap dispenser, the toothbrush holder along with the washbasin countertop are the key pieces of this bathroom. Equally, you will love the colorful patchwork-style tiles and the absolutely superb painted washbasin! The most beautiful small bathroom I have ever seen!
