Many of us have an idea of how grapevines or other climbing plants grow, but we've probably never considered what this process would look like filmed in slow motion or through a very well-executed timelapse.
Some of us probably didn't even know why stakes or poles are placed next to these plants, and we thought they simply clung to any nearby support because it was close by, not for other reasons.
Guided by the sun, grapevines and climbing plants will complete full rotations, and as they grow taller, their stems will twist around any pole, beam, or post nearby.
This video is in timelapse format, being made from many photos taken during the plant's growth, which were then put together at high speed to offer the entire sensation of the plant's growth right before our eyes.
Given that there are numerous other climbing plants besides grapevines, we invite you to let us know if you have any variety of this kind at your place.garden Plant your own seeds of change and share your journey with us by creating your own timelapse video showing your plant's growth.
