Bathroom design goes beyond simply decorating walls and floors and acquiring the necessary items for this room's utilitarian purpose. Aesthetics are not to be neglected, especially since you have many options for creating a warm, personal, and expressive space.

The keywords for bathroom accessories at the beginning of this year are: natural stone, opaque materials, recycled or recyclable organic raw materials, the absence of any type of glass, earthy colors with subtle accents of marine green and blue, spacious and bright spaces, huge windows that allow natural light to penetrate, underfloor heating and perfect thermal insulation, as well as the use of simple lighting fixtures that use ecological light sources.

1. Huge bathtubs, round, oval or corner

Asian and Eastern influences have now reached even the most luxurious and modern bathrooms around the world. Interior designers have worked intensively on the geometry of bathrooms so that curved lines dominate straight, raw ones. This trend can be observed in the design of bathtubs for 2015, which are more circular than rectangular and classic.

Rounded corners, huge space and simple faucets, just as wavy as the main lines of modern Asian bathrooms, complete the zen look of these rooms. Bathtubs are lined with natural stone (marble, travertine) or natural wood treated to resist humidity and temperature fluctuations.

2. Oval sinks and washbasins

All other utility elements in modern bathrooms are also circular, such as sanitary ware, sinks and washbasins. These are made entirely of natural rock and give the entire bathroom a raw look. Their shape maintains unity and uniformity, being designed in complete accordance with that of the bathtubs.

The faucets used for sinks and washbasins in trend in 2015 are either very simple and linear, contrasting with the geometry of the washing vessels, or wavy, elongated and with vintage details, which transform the new bathrooms into true artifacts of contemporary decorators.

The color of the washbasins and sinks is chosen in contrast to that used for the bathtubs, so delicate nude and beige tones are complemented by strong and coarse colors such as anthracite or wenge. Everything is very well delimited, so contrasting color games are seen favorably by everyone involved in styling rooms.

3. Massive soap dishes, glasses and holders

If until recently, delicacy was the best description for these objects intended for storing and storing solutions and tools for washing, this year everything becomes much more massive and harder.

Diaphanous soap dishes made of porcelain, painted with various floral motifs or ogives have become larger, sculpted in natural stone, simple and without other stylistic artifices such as incrustations. Toothbrush holders and containers for liquid soap and shower gel are just as massive and hard.
