This small but extremely welcoming wooden cabin, located in southern Italy, was built by the architecture firm E M2 Architekten. The project includes two buildings: a cabin and a studio.
One of the most interesting features of the cabin is that one of the walls can be opened to make way for another glass wall. This allows owners to enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. The remaining windows are very small and narrow, no larger than a wooden plank.
The reason they are so small is to enhance the cabin's security. It is impossible for a wild animal to enter through these windows. And in the case of the glass wall, when the owners are away, it is covered with the wooden panel located by the window.

The entire cabin is "wrapped" in wood. This helps on cold days, when heat loss is reduced due to the cabin's special insulation method.
The ground floor comprises the living areas, the living room and the kitchen. The relaxation area features a black sofa, an armchair and a coffee table, all positioned facing the glass wall so that the owners can enjoy the view.
On the other side of the cabin was the kitchen, featuring a modern wood-burning stove in one corner. The kitchen is small but practical, open-plan style. The non-black color elements contrast strongly and elegantly with the natural hue of the wood.
The bedrooms are separated by a wooden wall and were designed to connect with the roof and be as spacious as possible.
The bathroom, unlike the rest of the cabin, has a matte finish and includes a shower stall, sink, and all other amenities found in typical bathrooms.
The entire interior is enveloped in wood, with the exception of the wall where the stove is located. The floor, walls, and ceiling are made from the same type of wood as the furniture, except that the texture and color differ.
