While many of us enjoy colors, we often choose not to use them for fear of making a mistake in how we combine them. Here's how you can overcome your fear by gradually adding a touch of color to your home decor.

Start by experimenting with an impactful color, but one that doesn't overwhelm. A wall in the room can be painted, either entirely or in a specific portion, just to be a point of interest in the room. You can match it with upholstery or decorative pillows.

Colored accessories are another way you can bring color into your homes. Chairs or a coffee table or any other object in the house can be painted and transformed. You can create color series – pink, orange, yellow, blue for kitchen chairs or stools; and in the children's room you can explore the values of colors.

From a painted door or a geometric pattern, to simply painting the table your little one uses to color.

Be creative with your kitchen cabinets too! You can paint them on the inside for more cheerfulness and to break the monotony of the room.

Decorative pillows are the simplest way you can bring colors without fear of making a wrong combination. If you have a white sofa, a combination of strong colors will create a discreet but pleasant decor at the same time.
