Relatively small when considering the square footage (43 sq m distributed across two rooms), the apartment we're talking about today surprises with its brightness and airy feel, thanks to efficient zoning and furniture arrangement.
The client, a young woman just starting her adult life and fresh out of college, was enthusiastically involved in the entire design process (she purchased some of the furniture pieces herself, but always in agreement with the designer to ensure a coherent style and a unified image of the space).
The initial requirements for the project were to create a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation, a living room where she could host guests, and integrate a desk into the living area to make working from home as enjoyable as possible.
The result speaks for itself: as long as every corner of the dwelling is carefully utilized, we can recreate the feeling of "home" and satisfy all zoning and ergonomic needs regardless of the available surface area.
In terms of layout, the zoning created by the developer was retained and proved to be convenient; only the access to the bedroom was modified to create more storage space in the hallway (access is now from the living area near the media wall).
The bathroom is located next to the entrance door; from the hallway, you reach the living area, which consists of a minimalist kitchen with furniture arranged in an "L" shape and continued by a bar-type countertop, a small living area, and the wall with the desk. The small but modern gray fabric sofa is an elegant presence in the design, enhanced by colorful decorative pillows.
For the flooring, designer Tatyana Ivanova opted for a laminate parquet in a natural, not too dark shade, which serves as a backdrop for the modern furniture and adds extra comfort and warmth to the home. Wooden accents are also found on the kitchen countertop and the work desk surface.
Within the neutral, modern framework of the living area, accents of dusty rose (velvet bar stools) and royal blue draperies stand out. Gold elements (from lighting fixtures, handles, accessories) add a touch of elegance to the space.
