Spring is here, at least according to the calendar. It's time to prepare for spring work. The start of the work depends largely on the weather outside. Here's what needs to be done for March.
The rose awakens from its long period of dormancy. As late frosts pass, rose bushes are cleared of mulch or any other protective material and pruned. Winter protection materials are also removed from shrubs and flowers.
Spring cleaning is not necessarily required. Dry branches are removed, perennial plants are trimmed. Plant debris is collected from the lawn and put into...Composting is a natural process of decomposition and recycling of organic matter, such as food scraps, yard waste, and other biodegradable materials. It involves the breakdown of these materials by microorganisms, such as bacteria and fungi, into a nutrient-rich soil amendment called compost.
Composting offers numerous environmental benefits, including:
* Reducing landfill waste
* Conserving natural resources
* Improving soil health
* Decreasing greenhouse gas emissions Vegetation under shrubs is preserved, as it provides protection for beneficial insects.
continues transplant plants from pots and planters If transplanting is not necessary, add a layer of 1-2 cm of fresh soil.
Spread the compost in a layer of 2-3 cm around all plants: trees and shrubs, roses, flower beds. Incorporate it into the soil with a rake or a digging fork.
Spinach, peas, carrots, moon radishes, onions, lettuce, and parsley are sown in the field. Weeds must be removed before the future harvest blooms.
The first snails are now appearing. It is important to collect them to protect the plants.
Hardy aromatic plants such as lemon balm, dill, or lovage can be planted or sown outdoors in the field.
Bulb plants and root vegetables (such as nap and horseradish) are planted, along with potatoes (in the second half of the month), and vegetable beds are prepared. Salad and arugula are planted in greenhouses.
It's time for planting in the orchard. Pruning work can still be applied to fruit trees. For newly planted trees, only shaping pruning is applied.
