Even though autumn is approaching quickly, the garden still needs our care during this period, especially when preparing for winter. Any advice is welcome even during the off-season.
It is well known that any task is easier if it is done with the right tools. The same applies to the garden. Gardening tools make our lives easier and sometimes even our wallets. To be both practical and economical at the same time, we propose that you make your own utensils from objects and things that you surely already have in your house.
Simple and Practical Gardening Tools
An old sheet or towel will come in handy for gardening tasks. Even vinyl tablecloths will be very useful in gardening activities. Towels can be used as supports for hanging plants, and the sheet will protect your plants from the cold of autumn-winter nights.
Yogurt or sour cream containers can be used to grow seedlings that are to be planted in the spring. In a tub you will be able to store carrots over the winter or you can plant onions to have green onions all winter long. Just like glasses or cups that are no longer useful in the kitchen, they can find their use as gardening tools. Nothing should be ignored!
Not a single drop of rainwater should be wasted, especially in dry areas. Metal boxes from coffee or canned goods are very useful tools for collecting water and using it optimally to water plants.
Be efficient in the garden with practical and inexpensive tools made by yourself!
