The story of this two-bedroom apartment in Cluj Napoca begins with the desire of its owners (a young couple) to have a bright, modern and very elegant home, without elements that unnecessarily clutter the space.
The apartment has a functional layout, with balanced proportions between spaces. From the access hall you enter the bathroom and bedroom on the left side, the rectangular kitchen is located in front, while the living area and dressing room are on the right side of the entrance.
Architects Madalina Bakos and Manuela Furdui applied the principle of simplicity, purity of forms and insertion of glamorous accents to outline the home much desired by the owners. The result is a warm and welcoming home, even though at first glance it may seem sober due to the multitude of reflective and metallic elements used.
Gold elements add a touch of femininity to the entire design; "the dining table with the round glass top balances the straight lines of the body that masks the pillar.
In the vision of the project team, the bedroom should not be cluttered with details or decorations to ensure the necessary relaxation. Thus, they opted for the intense use of white to give luminosity to the space.
The bathroom is completely clad in stone, the star element being the walk-in shower wall, made of agate-like stone. Minimalist furniture completes the elegant atmosphere here as well.
The designers involved in this interior design told us that although the home has a generous area for a two-bedroom apartment, the kitchen is small in size, "which is why they insisted a lot on maximizing its functionality, through column units that frame the worktop area, and visual maximization which was achieved with the help of mirror cladding.
The wall opposite the work area was completely clad with clear mirror, "managing to create a playful, mysterious atmosphere, doubling the space bathed in natural light throughout the day, which is elegantly reflected in this portion of the wall.
